Let’s face it: we all need some downtime to recharge and reset. A cleanse is an easy and healthy way to be good to yourself and detox. By refueling with the highest quality nutrients you’ll improve your digestion, amp up your energy and definitely improve your mood.
But wait there’s more. You’ll be thinking more clearly and sleeping more soundly. In addition to being able to zip up your skinny jeans, you’ll lose the bloat and reduce inflammation. Hello glowing skin. Other perks include an immune system boost and restoring your body to the alkaline balance nature intended.
The best way to prep for your cleanse is to clean up your diet the week before. Toss the junk food and get off caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, refined sugar, wheat and processed foods. Yes, you can!
Then, 2 or 3 days before, drink 2-4 Saratoga Juice Bar cold pressed juices during the day, and eat salad or steamed veggies with lean protein (if desired) for dinner. Drink your body weight in ounces of water daily and remember to eat a mix of mostly raw food, fresh fruit and veggies.
You will notice some separation of the fruits and vegetables, this is a normal settling process. We ask that you please make sure to shake the beverages briskly before drinking them. Drink all of your daily Saratoga Juice Bar cold pressed juices in order. Stay hydrated by drinking your body weight in ounces of water daily. Drink one juice every 2 to 3 hours. Take a siesta if you feel like it. Yoga, a bike ride or a stroll keeps the chi moving. To sweep away toxins from your fine self, exfoliate with dry brushing, a sauna, or hot baths. It is normal to experience a slight headache or perhaps a feeling of “high” or “low” while your body is adjusting to the cleanse. If you should experience symptoms such as being faint, dehydration or any other symptoms that concern you please stop the cleanse and consult your physician.
The day after your cleanse drink juices, smoothies, eat soups, and fresh fruits and veggies. Keep eating clean. Drink 2 to 3 fresh cold-pressed juices daily. Stay hydrated, exercise and exfoliate.
